Zukunftszentrum Gesundheit Lippe accelerates

Center for Medicine, Technology, Care and Education ensures modern training and care in rural areas. Researchers from the inIT are involved in this.

The health megatrend is one of the strongest social drivers. As part of this trend, active health self-optimization is growing. It is supported by new biochemical products, but above all by the digital recording and storage of vital functions of all kinds.

The Future Center Health Lippe at the Innovation Campus Lemgo is based on this trend in the medical-scientific field. It is based on the vision of the German government's High-Tech Strategy 2025 and is intended to promote patient-oriented research approaches, training and studies for the district of Lippe that focus on people. New methods of applied diagnostics, innovative therapy approaches and care support will be derived from this.

With a view to successful regional development, the new center is also to be integrated in the best possible way into the "Lippe 2025" future concept of the Lippe district. This will also ensure a permanent transfer of knowledge to the health care sectors in the region. From a technical point of view, the focus is on digitalization, individualized medication, telemedicine, hygiene, 3D bioplotting and the linking of natural and technical sciences with medicine and care.

Another goal is to strengthen preventive health care, for example through research in the field of nutrition and population-based research ("public health"), as well as the systematic development of health literacy along the education chain. New societal challenges, such as the increase in age- and lifestyle-related chronic diseases, should also be reflected in health monitoring and population-based public health tracking.

Degree programs such as Medical and Health Technology and Smart Health Sciences, which focus on people, are an important component in the system of a skilled workforce recruitment and training. The center will be supported by the district of Lippe, Lippe Bildung eG, Gesundheit Lippe GmbH and the Ostwestfalen-Lippe University of Applied Sciences. In the future, other players in the health care sector will also be involved, such as companies, associations and other players such as care facilities and physicians in private practice.
