Viktoria Mordaschew Receives the GfA Best Young Scientist Award

Young researchers from inIT honored

Viktoria Mordaschew was recently honored with the Best Young Scientist Award at the 72nd Spring Congress of the Society for Ergonomics (GfA) in Kassel.

With this award, the GfA recognizes outstanding scientific contributions by early-career researchers in the field of ergonomics. The annual award is one of the most prestigious honors for young researchers in German-speaking industrial and organizational psychology and is presented during the GfA Spring Congress—the field’s premier conference featuring numerous scientific presentations from both research and practice.

Award for Research on Gamification in Production

The award was given for her paper “Gamification in Production: Qualitative Analysis of Practice-Based Perceptions and Ergonomic Implications,” which was developed as part of her doctoral research.

As a research associate in the Human-Technology Interaction working group led by Prof. Dr. mult. Carsten Röcker, Viktoria Mordaschew is researching ways to expand gamification to include human-centered parameters. The focus here is not on achieving maximum productivity, but on enabling human-centered work design.

International Stage for Lemgo Researcher

The award includes funded participation in the upcoming annual conference of the International Ergonomics Association (IEA) in London, where Viktoria Mordaschew will present her research to an international audience.

“This award is a great recognition of my research work to date and is a huge motivation for me to continue my research. I am particularly looking forward to discussing my work with experts from around the world in London next year.”
