inIT Employees Present Career Opportunities at “Commitment-Day”

inIT employees Marco Ehrlich and Uwe Mönks explained to the interested students, pupils and freshmen how to successfully manage the way from the first days of studying to a doctoral degree at this year’s Commitment-Day at OWL University. They also explained how voluntary commitment helps in professional life. Both the presentations fell under the motto: “From Freshman to PhD” and “What Has Voluntary Commitment to Do with My Career?”.

Marco Ehrlich (l.) and Uwe Mönks (r.) talked with students about career opportunities at inIT and voluntary commitment.

Representatives from student boards as well as outside speakers explained the opportunities of getting committed in university policy or to promote the university voluntarily. “We want to encourage the students to participate in the multifarious groups and committees of the OWL University”, explains Friederike Menz, project manager of the initiative “student pioneers” at OWL University and representative of the local ArbeiterKind.de-group. There are multifarious opportunities to volunteer, like e.g. the Student Parliament (StuPa), Students Union (AStA) or Campus Radio Triquency. The event of the ArbeiterKind.de Group in Lemgo took place on Wednesday, 10. November 2016 at OWL University.

About ArbeiterKind.de
The initiative Arbeiter.Kind.de is addressed to students who are the firsts to study in their families. Students are supported from the beginning of their studies to graduation and career start. ArbeiterKind.de wants to encourage young people to take up a study, wants to clear up long-standing prejudices and supports the students when it comes to financial or study-related challenges. The group meets each first Wednesday of the month at “Zündkerze” in Lemgo (18.00h).
