Info day for women

TH OWL helps people re-entry into the profession

Natalia Moriz met with great interest in studying, especially among young mothers, at the information day for women.

There are many reasons for interrupting a career phase: starting a family, caring for relatives or falling ill. Afterwards, it is difficult for many to re-enter the world of work and continue as before. The TH OWL has made it its business to support the return to work and has created a wide range of services. This includes personal counseling and support, updating of professional knowledge, further professional qualification, professional reorientation as well as internships in the scientific area. Natalia Moriz, board member at the Institute Industrial IT (inIT) at the TH OWL, supports the program and is the contact person for the program "Re-entry Program for Women Engineers".

On April 30, Natalia Moriz was on hand to answer questions at the Women's Info Day in Detmold, which was initiated by the Re-entry NRW state initiative. During the info day, there was a morning long opportunity to get specific information and to exchange and network with other women in a similar situation.

The event was well attended and offered interesting workshops, information, application portfolio check, styling, the opportunity to have application photos taken and advice on topics such as further education, re-entry and starting a business. "I enjoyed supporting motivated young women in their search for the right career direction. The participants approached me with specific questions and the range of studies offered by TH OWL made a convincing impression," says a pleased Natalia Moriz.

In addition to TH OWL, the AWO-Familienzentrum Lage, the Netzwerk Lippe gGmbH, the Deutsche Rote Kreuz Kreisverwaltung Lippe e. V., the Initiative FAIR – Frau und Arbeit in der Region and the Offensive Frauenerwerbstätigkeit Lippe, among others, also participated in the information day for women.
