Professor Dr. Jürgen Jasperneite recently welcomed Dr. Emmanuel Ogbodo as a guest scientist in his working group at the Institute Industrial IT of OWL University of Applied Sciences and Arts (TH OWL).

Dr. Emmanuel Ogbodo and Professor Dr. Jürgen Jasperneite (from left) are pleased about the research exchange.

Dr. Ogbodo did his PhD at the University of KwaZulu Natal in Durban/ South Africa on the topic "Cognitive Radio Sensor Networks (CRSN) in Smart Grids for Efficient Holistic Monitoring and Control". Currently, he is a post-doctoral fellow at Tshwane University of Technology in Pretoria. In the coming weeks, he will be conducting research together with Professor Jasperneite's working group on topics related to 5G and Internet of Things (IoT). The goal is a joint publication on the results of the work. It is also planned that he will exchange ideas with the students of the international master's program in Information Technology of TH OWL.
During a first campus tour on the Innovation Campus Lemgo, Dr. Ogbodo was very impressed by our outstanding facilities and the proximity to the companies on campus. And a walk through the Old Hanseatic Town of Lemgo, the first town in Lippe, with its long history and many preserved historic buildings, has already left a lasting impression on Dr. Ogbodo.
