Invited lectures at Stanford University and Palo Alto Research Center (PARC)

Professor Jasperneite gave a special seminar on "Smart Manufacturing" on the invitation of Professor Jie Wang in the "Centre for Sustainable Development and Global Competitiveness (SDGC)" at the Stanford University.

The research interest of Prof. Wang covers multidisciplinary research in adaptive computer-based learning and reasoning of complex physical and social systems. These include, among other activities, the field of Smart City and Smart infrastructure.

A further presentation on "Smart Factory" was given by Professor Jasperneite on the invitation of Dr. Alexander Feldman from the Palo Alto Research Center (PARC). At PARC, a Xerox company, many innovations were invented, as for example the laser printer, the first personal computer with a graphical user interface and computer mouse or the local networking standard Ethernet. Today PARC is e.g. working on the automation of engineering tasks based on artificial intelligence .
