The inIT is live at the Hanover Fair again

During the world's largest industrial show, the Hannover Messe, the Institute for Industrial IT (inIT) of the Technische Hochschule Ostwestfalen Lippe will also present itself together with the Fraunhofer Institute IOSB-INA from May 30 to June 2. The CENTRUM INDUSTRIAL IT (CIIT), also located on the InnovationCampus (ICL) in Lemgo, will also be represented at the OWL joint stand (Hall 11 B23).

"We are presenting ourselves this time with a special way," says Professor Dr. Volker Lohweg from the Institute Industrial IT (inIT). Instead of a technical exhibit, he says, there will be live feeds into the SmartFactory OWL. "The main theme is AI in production. We at inIT stand for intelligent automation in this context. We can best show this in the environment of the SmartFactory OWL together with Fraunhofer IOSB-INA", Professor Lohweg explains this year's own concept. "We see ourselves from Lemgo as a joint quite strong team consisting of inIT, Fraunhofer IOSB-INA, CENTRUM INDUSTRIAL IT and SmartFactory OWL, which stands for intelligent automation", says Lohweg.

In addition to the topic of AI, digital marketplaces also play a major role at the OWL joint stand. For example, companies in the region such as Weidmüller and WAGO have joined forces and organized by SmartFactory OWL, CENTRUM INDUSTRIAL IT and owl maschinenbau to enable a vendor-neutral marketplace for buying and selling industrial hardware, software and services with the new "Industrial Marketplace" app. A demonstrator shows how the app store works on devices from various manufacturers.
