Honoured: inIT Researcher Won the Best Paper Award at PESARO Conference 2017

The seventh “International Conference on Performance, Safety and Robustness in Complex Systems and Applications - PESARO“ took place from 23rd to 27th April 2017 in Venice, Italy. inIT researcher Mrs. Sahar Torkamani represented very successfully the inIT at the conference. By presenting her conference contribution, the scientist from Lemgo won the Best Paper Award. The conference was organized by the International Academy, Research and Industry Association (IARIA).

The program committee selected the contribution titled „Shift-Invariant Motif Discovery in Image Processing“ within the session „Machine Learning Algorithms in Image and Signal Processing“.

“We are pleased that we as researchers from Lemgo were able to convince the international researchers community by our research work on the issue of machine learning and pattern recognition and their applications to image processing”, says Professor Volker Lohweg, director of the Institute Industrial IT. In the awarded paper from Sahar Torkamani and Professor Volker Lohweg a new procedure for a fast recognition of unknown images (motifs) and motif images changed by mappings was presented on the conference.

The International Academy, Research and Industry Association (IARIA) is a scientific organization. The declared goal is to promote research results of young scientists along with those of well-known experts.
