Keynote:

Eberhard "ebbse" Wahl

Managing Director of TRUMPF Tracking Technologies and head of the use case working group for the omlox open tracking standard.

Abstract:

Interoperable Real Time Locating Systems for all: An introduction to the omlox standard. The promises of Industry 4.0 cannot be fulfilled on the basis of countless proprietary solutions. In this respect, there are many efforts in associations and projects to standardize various interfaces and architectures. The location of objects is a central element of the digital factory. Pioneering work has been done here with omlox. The importance of the standardization of location information and the sensory connection, as well as their enormous potential, are explained and made tangible using specific cases as examples. In addition to an overview of the status quo, there will be an outlook on future applications, including the industrial metaverse.
