In this project a new position detection algorithm for images is analyzed and implemented. The concept is based on ultra-fast generalized Circular Transforms, which can be applied for such position detection concepts. It is well known that cross correlation methods are in many case too cost intensive regarding the necessary computeral power when implemented on resource restricted FPGAs.
