itsowl-Arbeit4.0: Nachhaltigkeitsmaßnahme : „Gestaltung der Arbeitswelt in der Industrie vor dem Hintergrund der Digitalisierung“

Prof. Dr. rer. nat. Oliver Niggemann
01.01.2016 bis 31.12.2017

The ambition of this joint project is to survey the firm-specific challenges of the digitalized work environment and to exploit the potential of Arbeit 4.0. Six companies from the BMBF-cluster of excellence “it’s OWL” will participate in a study to analyse preparation, implementation and postprocessing steps needed to take full benefit of this initiative. The main outcome of this study will be validated recommendations from the participating companies, which will demonstrate the benefits of a successful change to Arbeit 4.0. The study is focused on the requirements of the employees regarding their work in a digital environment. Results in the companies should be well established and the employees should be prepared for the new challenges of Arbeit 4.0. Based on these fields, the following sub-goals are identified:

Subgoal 1: Identification of the potential in digitalized work

Potential benefits and risks of the digitalized work have to be described to ensure that it is fair and reasonable to human employees.

Subgoal 2: Design of the digitalized work

Based on the identified potential guidelines will be prepared for the companies to help them design the required employee profiles, qualification programmes and for the improvement of processes and organisation.

Subgoal 3: Transfer

The results of the joint project will be transferred to companies using the “onion” architecture.

These subgoals lead to the following final results:

•    Specific guidance for the six pilot projects in the three competence fields
•    Potentials of digitalized technologies and concepts in the form of  briefings
•    At least six scenarios of digitalized work
•    Quick-Check to identify individual possible application of digitalized  technologies and concepts
•    Guideline for the design of digitalized work environment
•    “Workplace of the future” demonstrator
