Industrial network technology has reached a high degree of complexity, especially in the change from established fieldbus technology to Real-Time Ethernet systems, so that commissioning and troubleshooting are reserved for excellent specialists. 
The aim of the project is to research and develop new possibilities for fault diagnosis. 
The cooperation partners are technological leaders in the field of industrial communication technology. While Hilscher implements fieldbus and Real-Time Ethernet connections with its netX technology, the inIT - Institute Industrial IT is engaged in application-oriented research in this field.
