Expert in user-centered information systems brings new impetus to research and collaboration

Prof. Dr. Jessica Rubart will join the Institute Industrial IT (inIT) at TH OWL as a new executive board member on 1 December. Having headed the Business Information Systems department since 2010, the scientist brings with her many years of experience in user-centred, data-driven information systems, interactive assistance solutions, and AI-based methods. Her research focuses on the intersection of people, organisations, and technology, which aligns well with inIT's core areas of AI, interaction, and business applications.

Research for intelligent and user-oriented information systems

The aim of Prof. Dr. Jessica Rubart's research is to design information systems that function reliably in complex organisational environments. At the same time, these systems should offer users real added value. She is particularly strengthening the areas of intelligent systems, digital assistance solutions, and secure, distributed IT structures.

“inIT brings together crucial topics for the future of data-driven information systems. I look forward to advancing these developments together and further strengthening cooperation within the institute,” emphasises Prof. Dr. Jessica Rubart.

She brings an approach combining technical depth, interaction and operational practice — exactly what we need to future-proof our research fields.”

The entire inIT Executive Board is delighted to welcome Jessica Rubart and looks forward with confidence to the joint further development of the institute.
