Valentin Grimm

Valentin Grimm has been a research assistant at inIT since 2026 and has been part of the Business Information Systems working group since 2021. His research focuses on the design and development of user-centered, data-driven information systems at the interface between humans and artificial intelligence.
His work focuses on the question of how large language models and explainable AI methods can be used to make complex data analyses and algorithmic decisions understandable, comprehensible, and interactively accessible to users. In particular, he investigates the combination of textual and visual forms of explanation as well as the role of AI-based assistance systems in data-driven decision-making processes.
