Julian Bültemeier

Julian Bültemeier has been a research associate in the Discrete Systems working group since 2018. He is currently working on the ‘OptiCoil: KI-gestützte Prozessoptimierung für nachhaltige Stahlfederproduktion’ project, which focuses on optimising winding processes and their interaction with coil properties. The aim of the project is to analyse and optimise existing steel spring production facilities using machine intelligence in order to minimise steel scrap. He is working on his PhD via PK NRW on the topic of explainable AI in image recognition. His research focuses on automation (document verification), machine learning, and image stylisation.
