AMICO: Adaptives Assistenzsystem zur beruflichen Inklusion
Motivation
Digital assistance systems are valuable companions for people with disabilities in their professional and private inclusion. Existing solutions, for example to explain processes step by step, are often not individualized. Adaptive and human-centered assistance systems are proving to be much more functional.
Goals and approach
One solution is being developed in the AMICO project: the software solution based on artificial intelligence (AI) can adapt flexibly to the individual needs of users. In collaboration with partners from the field of professional inclusion, a demonstrator of the assistance platform with adaptive and disability-specific user interfaces is being developed and tested in practice. An accompanying ethics and digitalization advisory board ensures that ethical, legal and social aspects (ELSA) are taken into account.
Innovations and prospects
The intelligent platform developed offers people with sensory or cognitive impairments needs-based multimedia and interactive instructions. It offers valuable support in everyday working life. The findings are to flow into a marketable product and be used in inclusion companies, workshops for people with disabilities and other inclusion organizations.
